The vendor-neutral TrainingPeaks alternative

Looking for an alternative to TrainingPeaks? Tredict is a zone-based training planning and analysis platform for endurance athletes, triathletes and coaches. Developed and operated in Europe, owner-run and independent, with no corporation behind it and no interest in selling you a particular watch.

Plan structured workouts by power, heart rate, pace and cadence, have them synchronised to your device automatically and follow your form with a redundant effort calculation.

Vendor-neutral and independent

Since Garmin acquired TrainingPeaks in July 2026, many athletes and coaches have been asking how neutral a training platform can remain in the long run when it is owned by a single device manufacturer.

Tredict is officially integrated with the APIs of Garmin, Coros, Suunto, Polar, Wahoo, Hammerhead, Zwift and other services and treats all manufacturers equally. Garmin is and remains a valued integration partner. For Tredict, independence means that development is guided solely by you as an athlete or coach, not by device sales.

Take your training history with you

The most convenient route goes directly through your device manufacturer. Connect Tredict to Garmin, Coros, Suunto, Polar, Wahoo, Zwift, Hammerhead or Concept2 and start the import of your existing activities. Your history then comes straight from the original source. An export from TrainingPeaks is not even required for this.

Alternatively or additionally, you can export your data from TrainingPeaks. With a privacy request at TrainingPeaks you can request a complete copy of all your data stored there for download. This also works without a paid subscription. In addition, the paid Athlete Edition offers a direct bulk export of your workout files, one year per run, delivered as a zip archive. You then upload the contained .fit and .tcx files to Tredict via the regular upload button in the training calendar, up to 3000 files in one go. In any case, run the export before you delete your account over there.

From the imported history, Tredict recalculates fitness, fatigue and performance from scratch using the Banister model. You do not transfer any starting values and you do not start from zero, your form curve is complete right after the import.

From TSS, CTL and ATL to the Tredict form curve

The concepts you know from TrainingPeaks are all there in Tredict. The effort of an activity corresponds to the training impulse and is calculated redundantly from your training zones, secured across power, heart rate and pace. Your efforts build your fitness, comparable to CTL, your fatigue, comparable to ATL, and your performance, comparable to TSB. The foundation is the proven Banister model.

Normalized Power has its counterpart as well. The perceived power raises low values and lowers high ones, reflects the perceived work of an interval session more accurately than the plain average and is the basis of the power-based effort calculation. The same principle exists for heart rate based training with the perceived heart rate. Some concepts deliberately go beyond their role models, for example the effort weights high intensities more strongly and is calculated gender-specifically.

Structured workouts and training planning

Create structured workouts with intensity levels based on your date-based training zones. Plan intervals relative to your FTP or with absolute values, by power, heart rate, pace or cadence. When your FTP changes over time, the absolute values adjust automatically. Tredict keeps your FTP for power and your FTPa for pace as date-based capacity values, so older activities are always evaluated with the values that applied at the time. Tredict can also detect your lactate threshold, FTP and FTPa automatically from your workouts.

Planned workouts land on your device automatically, including Garmin, Coros, Suunto, Wahoo, Hammerhead, Zwift, icTrainer and the Apple Watch with Watchletic. Structured workouts you already have as .fit files, for example exported individually from TrainingPeaks, can be imported directly into your training planning.

Cycling and swimming are just as much at home in Tredict as running. You plan and analyse cycling sessions power-based, from structured intervals to the power curve with mean maximum values. Swim sessions are analysed in detail, right down to the swimming efficiency index. Triathletes especially keep all disciplines in view on one platform.
