Tredict Newsletter January February 2021
Dear , Tredict is so busy with the implementation of new functions and improvements, that the newsletter comes with some delay and we simply summarize January and February. Athletes in mountainous terrain will be happy about new metrics for the altitude and the gradient distribution chart. A manual and automatic export of planned and scheduled workouts closes the loop for Garmin users. We would love to close the loop for other manufacturers as well, but unfortunately they don't offer integration capabilities. |
New attributes for planned training segments |
Write annotations, "Fast run", "Breaststroke", "Pull-ups" on a workout segment.
The annotation will be displayed on your watch when you export the scheduled workout. Define target zones: Pace, heart rate, power and cadence. Define the type of section: Warm-up, Active, Cooldown, Recovery, Rest. For a swim workout, you can now distinguish between pool swimming and open water swimming. |
Autosync of your workout schedule with Garmin Connect |
If you like, you can automatically sync your scheduled workouts with Garmin Connect. It couldn't be easier to get your workouts and training plan onto your device. https://www.tredict.com/blog/garmin_training_api_integration/ |
FIT file export of planned workouts |
The FIT file export allows you to run a scheduled workout on your watch.
Provided that workout FIT files are supported. Given sophisticated interval units, swimming workouts or strength training with many exercises and segments you can plan them in Tredict and execute them 1:1 on your watch. The file is copied manually to your device: https://www.tredict.com/faq/export-a-planned-workout-to-my-garmin-device/ |
Elevation distribution |
To see how adaptive you are to the change in incline with your performance,
just take a look at this chart. The elevation distribution chart in the training detail view puts the zone values, like pace, heart rate, wattage and cadence in relation to the grade. |
Elevation metrics |
New are: Climb Category, FIETS Index, Grade Variability, Linear Grade, Ascent/Descent Percentage, Ascent/Descent Distance, Summit Grade, Vertical Speed (VAM), maximum Elevation and minimum Elevation. You can sort by these values in the yearly training overview. The metrics are explained in the glossary: https://www.tredict.com/glossary/elevation-distribution-and-data/ https://www.tredict.com/glossary/activity-summary/#climb-category-a |
Also take a look at the Changelog. Have fun planning your workouts! Felix - Tredict |
